About me:
I am a psychiatrist in New York, NY who works with adults and provides care for patients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and psychosis. I specialize in patients who have felt out of control or have difficulties in their experiences or perceptions of things around them. I believe that symptoms have a story behind them and aim to help my patients understand their thoughts and feelings. Even if our focus will be medication management, I want to understand how medication fits in with your personal narrative, history, or family history. From there, my focus will be to help you recognize and manage symptoms and improve coping.
I completed my MD at the University of Chicago and residency training at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University. In addition to experience with psychopharmacology, I have experience with psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I have been in practice for 4 years.

My practice is informed by cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapy. I also provide supportive therapy for patients who are experiencing stressful life events.

Medication can often be helpful for reducing symptoms or in facilitating the work of therapy. If you are curious about medications, please reach out.
Insurance and Payment:
I currently participate with Headway.co to accept patients with Aetna. For all other insurance plans, I provide a billing statement that will include all the information necessary to obtain reimbursement from your health insurance through an out-of-network benefit.
Other Logistics:
I am in the office on Wednesdays. While I offer do offer both in-person visits or telehealth visits, I see all patients in-person for their initial visit.
My office is accessible from the 96th St 1 or C stops. The office is on the second floor. The building has an elevator, however, there is a small step at the entrance.
